Less Crowds: If you like your solitude and peace during your vacation the off-season months between November-February are the best months to visit.You have less than half as any visitors than in March-October.

Weather: It's not that cold and is usually light jacket hiking weather. We get an average of 2 days of snow per year. More than likely snow will not be around during your winter visit but if it does show up it's a beautiful site to see the snow against the red rocks and is usually melted the next day. The average temperatures in Zion during the winter are between 52 during the day and 29 in the evening but there are times that it can get up to 60 to 70 degrees. When the sun comes out it typically warms things right up.

Great Air Quality: Hiking with great air quality is always a huge plus. With less traffic, less people, it creates the perfect recipe for crisp clear skies and fresh air!

Great Customer Service: The locals are a lot more laid back and accommodating and restaurants not so busy so their time and attention to you as a consumer is a lot greater.

Lower rates. Most lodging has it’s off season pricing so you can get better deals and discounts on your stay. You can lengthen your stay with more affordable rates.

Stunning Views. Fall leaves and snow tipped red rocks are a beautiful site to see in Zion. If you have a passion for photography you will not be disappointed by the colors and sunset views you get during the fall and winter. The sunrise with the snow capped peaks is stunning. David West is known for his landscape photography in Zion & will tell you that his favorite times to take photos is during the off season because of all the color you see.

Shorter Shuttle Lines or No shuttle lines. You are allowed to drive in to the park mid-November through mid-March (non-holiday) without having to take a shuttle. The scenic drives are always a site to see. You can park down at the bottom of whatever hike you wish to go on and when you are finished with your hike you drive your own car home rather than waiting for a shuttle.

Hot tubs stay hot. After a long day of hiking or biking a dip in the hot tub is a great way to relax. With no one constantly getting in and out it stays nice and hot especially at all our properties.

Heated Pool. Depending on the property the pool is heated year round. You can pretty much utilize all the amenities during the winter at every location other than the locations that have a private lake or river access. A lake or getting in a river might be a little chilly. See policies for which location has a heated pool & costs.

Hiking Winter Water Gear Available: If you're wanting to still get in the lake, river, hike the Narrows, The Subway, or any of the water hikes, you can rent the right kind of gear from Zion Guru that will keep you warm.
