The Best Family Vacation You Haven't Planned Yet: Zion with Kids

Ask any parent what they really want from a family vacation, and the answer is usually some

version of: adventure for the kids, peace for the adults, and memories that last forever. Zion Red

Rock delivers on all three.

Here's what a family trip to Zion actually looks like:

Morning in the park.

Start with the Canyon Overlook Trail — it's short (about a mile round trip), stunning, and totally

doable for kids. The shuttle system makes it easy to hop between stops, and little ones love

spotting lizards along the way.

Afternoon back at the property.

The Oasis features an indoor soccer field, a massive theater room, a kids' playground, a

swimming pool, and a private lake. The Chalet has family game rooms that have been known to

spark some seriously competitive rounds of ping pong. Nobody is bored. Nobody is asking "what

now?"

A moment of wonder at the Labyrinth.

Our Tree of Life Labyrinth is one of those unexpected gems that guests talk about long after they

leave. Walking it together as a family – quietly, without phones – creates a kind of connection

that's hard to find in everyday life. To gain an even more magical experience surround yourself

with glowing red rock cliffs during a 360-degree sunset spectacle.

Evening under the stars.

Zion's surrounding communities are designated Dark Sky areas. After dinner, lay out a blanket

and look up. It is truly a breathtaking experience to see all of the stars. One of my personal

favorite places to be when star gazing is in the hot tub!

Zion Red Rock sleeps large groups comfortably, so bring the grandparents, the cousins, the whole

crew. The more, the merrier — and the memories? Priceless.
